Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
(James 4:5)

The Lord Jesus Christ’s greatest joy is when we pray praise and fellowship with Him continually.  We can get so caught up in the cares of this life that we start to drift away from that very relationship that Jesus deeply desires for you.  When you are in His presence you are in the realm of the power and love of God.  “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).  You were created to fellowship with the Father God and the Lord Jesus Christ continuously through this lifetime and then through all of eternity in Heaven.  The closer we come to the Lord Jesus Christ the greater His power & love and presence comes to us.  It is a hard battle to not be distracted.  But if you make up your mind and remain steadfast in praying in the Spirit with praise, you will create an environment of the presence of God wherever you go.  “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17).  You then will walk in the magnificent power and will of God to reveal Jesus Christ flowing through you to change this world.

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.  And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.
(Heb 10:19-24)
And the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
(Mark 4:19)
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
(James 4:7)
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
(James 4:8)
Lament and mourn and weep!  Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
(James 4:9)
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
(James 4:10)
