But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
(Hebrews 8:6)

We hear so much about Easter as a Christian holiday and we must not forget what really happened.  The resurrection was the most powerful event in the past, present, and for all eternity!  When the Lord Jesus Christ was on His last minutes of life on the cross, the last words He spoke  changed the destiny of mankind forever more.  The unseen world of the spirit of heaven was waiting in supernatural excitement and joy to hear these immortal living words that would bring a new dawn and change humanity and all of heaven forever!  Finally, the words were spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ.  IT IS FINISHED!

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
(John 19:30)

From that moment through His resurrection we have been blessed with heavenly promises by God Almighty that will never change or go away.  The Lord Jesus Christ now lives and abides in every believer and His promises are sealed by His precious blood.  Romans 8:32 tells us, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”  We have a New Covenant based on better promises and that is the New Testament which is the inheritance of every born again believer!  You have been redeemed from the curse of the law.  The Lord Jesus Christ stands in your place before God Almighty praying and interceding for you always!

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
(Romans 8:33-34)
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrews 4:14)
by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
(Hebrews 7:22)
