Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”  This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”   Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
(1 Samuel 17:45-47)

Whenever you are facing a big problem or an impossible situation in your life, whatever you are looking at will determine your victory or defeat.  When you look at the problem, the problem enters into your eyes and heart and it comes alive in you.  The more you look at it the bigger it becomes and it overwhelms you.  When your eyes and heart are on the Lord Jesus Christ, then you have given Him the problem and the battle then becomes the Lord’s.  The Lord Jesus Christ is always greater than the giants in your life.  First John 4:4 states, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Remember whatever you are looking at it then becomes alive in you.  The giant grows bigger the more you think and look at it. When your heart and eyes are on the Lord then He becomes alive in you!  The more you look at Him.  He grows bigger and greater in your heart!  The battle is the Lord’s!  He will not do anything unless you surrender it completely to Him!  When King David stood before the giant he was looking at the Lord through his heart and spirit.  He then said, “This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you.  And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”  Out of the abundance of David’s heart his mouth spoke out the living image of the Lord Jesus Christ that lived inside of him!

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
(Romans 8:37)
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrew 4:16)
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
