Worry can stop the power of God in your life. When you worry your eyes are off of the Lord Jesus Christ and then you become consumed by the very cares. “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully” (1 Peter 5:7 Amplified Bible). As long as your eyes and expectancy are on the Lord Jesus Christ your victory will always come to pass. Most Christians that you meet that are defeated and heavy hearted are consumed with worry and cares. The people you meet who are victorious with great joy have learned to trust and cast their cares on the Lord Jesus Christ. King David walked a life of victory in the midst of great trials and tribulations yet he never lost his trust and joy in the Lord.

In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] |
