Worry is Sin and Unbelief in The Promises of Jesus and His Word
by Sam Sweg
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Worry is sin and is unbelief that God will not answer your prayers or watch over you. When you worry or are anxious you are in unbelief in The Love and Power of the Lord Jesus Christ to take care of you. When you are in worry your eyes are off of Jesus and on the devil who is the very author of fear anxiousness and worry. The devil will always plant a picture of failure in your heart if you take your eyes off of Jesus. A greater picture of Jesus in your heart will always give you The Peace of God with your healing and Prayers answered.
Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
When the devil can lock you into anxiousness you are then listening to the devil in your heart. When those thoughts enter in, you are then being swayed by him and have lost all authority over him. Fear and worry are tools of the devil to convince you Jesus has forgotten you so you won’t resist his spirit of fear. Jesus will never leave or forsake you!
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Once you submit to worry and fear you opened the door to the very things you feared and worried about. When you are in The Peace of God you create an atmosphere for Jesus to surround you with His Comfort, Healing and Power to give you The Desires of your heart.
Job 3:25-26 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes.”
Matthew 8:23-27 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Matthew 14:27-31 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
