You Can Choose Between Joy or Hurt

“A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken” (Proverbs 15:13).  When you wake up in the morning you can make a conscious decision on how you will feel and act during the day.  When your eyes and heart are on the Lord Jesus Christ and not on the cares of this life.  The joy of the Lord will flow freely through you, the Gospel means GOOD NEWS!  When you are walking in the joy and presence of the Lord, you are a uplifting blessing to all around you.  You have the greatest power in existence inside of you and that is the Spirit of God.  “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).  Jesus overcame every problem or sickness that can come against you.  The key to victory is keeping your eyes and heart on Him instead of the circumstances.  “Until now you have asked nothing in My name.  Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).  Constant prayer and praise will keep you in the presence and joy of the Lord.  “You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (that means forever all through eternity) (Psalms 16:11).  “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11).  “And these things we write to you that your joy may be full” (1 John 1:4).
