YOUR FAITH WITHOUT A LIVING ACTION IS DEAD
by Sam Sweg
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Years ago I was hiking in a wilderness area with a couple of feet snow pack, It was 20 degrees below zero and late afternoon and ready to snow heavily. I suddenly stepped into a concealed hole and broke my knee. I could not stand up and it was getting dark and I knew I was in a life threatening danger. Every time I tried to get up the pain caused me to black out. I cried out to The Lord Jesus Christ for help! The Lord spoke to me in a Loud Audible Voice and said “Son If you believe My Written Word you will get up and walk. I tried to walk but the pain was to much. Jesus Repeated over and over again “If you believe My Written Word you will get up and walk”.
I finally realized what Jesus was saying to me, if I really Believe His Word I would Trust Him and Walk regardless of the pain. I then struggled to get up with great pain and was Thanking Jesus for His Promises of His Living Written Word. Every step I took I Thanked Jesus and the pain was less with every step and after 20 to 30 steps I was running Healed and Pain Free. If I did not put a living action to my faith in The Word of God. I would have laid there and froze to death. The Healing did not start until I rose up and started to walk!
Many quit Believing God Almighty’s Word because they did not get up and put living works to their faith. Your living faith has to energize The Living Healing Word of God inside of you with a living corresponding action! How would you know you are healed? If you do not rise up or step out to possess your needs! You can die of thirst by a crystal clear river if you look at the water and never rise up and reach out and start to drink.
James 2:20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
Luke 6:46-49 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say?
“Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. “But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
Matthew 9:6-7 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”; then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” And he arose and departed to his house.
John 5:7-9 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.
